I recently had a heart attack while in the hospital, the Dr told me there is nothing that they can do like put a stent in or do by-pass surgery. I was wondering if you think this is true,my medical issues are I have diabetes,I did have high blood pressure but since in the hospital I now have low blood pressure.Do you think you could send me a e-mail back my age is 48yrs.

It depends on where you had a heart attack.  Was it a small heart attack in the small arteries?  How much heart damage if any was sustained from the heart attack?  How low is your blood pressure while in the hospital?

It also depends on whether or not you had a heart attack caused by blockages, or by constricting vessels or even an arrhythmia that caused a sudden death event in which you were brought back. If the walls of the heart are too thick, you could be having heart attacks all of the time and they wouldn't be able to do the  things you are asking about. It depends on the cause of the heart attack. A lot of people have mild heart attacks without anything being done. A lot of people have heart attacks without even knowing it.

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
The doctor’s decision could be due to two reasons.
One is that the attack involved spam or blockage of small blood vessels of heart. If it was a spasm, it would have opened. If it was a small blood vessel clot, it would have not formed overnight and would have got collateral blood supply for the area. This can be effectively treated by medication, a good diet and exercise regimen.
The other reason is that your complications of diabetes and high blood pressure do not make you fit for any procedure now.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
