stinging pain from pacemaker

I would like to know if stinging pain from my pacemaker if part of healing or what could cause this type of pain.I have had this pacemaker since Dec 4,2008.

Hi,

Sometimes the leads of the pacemaker can touch and irritate the ligaments/pain fibers resulting in pain. The answer lies in replacing the leads again or in a good number of patients using the simple analgesics/painkillers like ibuprofen may help. I’ll suggest you consult a cardiologist and rule out the possibility of any other cause of this pain.
