unexplained pain

5 months ago I entered the er with extreme chest pain on the left side that was radiating down my left arm.  An EKG, and CAT scan as well as cardi blood work was completed and everything was "normal". The dr. suspected the pain was stress related.
The following week I was back in the er with tremendous pain us my spin and in my chest.  Again an EKG, CAT with contrast and MRI were completed as well as some xrays.  Again all normal.
Over the following 3 months I never quite felt myself - always some discomfort somewhere.
Then another trip to the er with a cramping pain on the left of my chest and across my colarbone.
Still I have constant cramping pain on my left chest - mostly just above the breast and underarm .  Any ideas?  I am tired of not feeling like myself.  I am 36 years old and have never had anything more than a cold until this.

Have you noticed these symptoms after your cold?  I am wondering if it is a rib out of joint, which can be quite painful.  Nerve pain can radiate anywhere in your body and it is very painful.  Try a chiropractor to see if this is the problem.  Lots of coughing during a cold can cause ribs to be out of alignment.  If the rib out of alignment is near the heart, it can actually be dangerous.
