Both carotid arteries 100% blocked

My dad is 70 yrs old and can out work me any day. Three yrs ago he found that one of his carotid arteries on his neck was 100% blocked with the other 30%. He went to the Mayo Clinic in Ohio and could not do surgery. He has since been taking high dosages of Lipitor and having annual ultra sounds. Fourteen months ago the physician told him he wouldn't require anymore ultrasounds. Yesterday he found that the 30% blocked artery is now 100% blocked as  the other one. Said that maybe the blood is rerouting through his neck to his brain. He has no symptoms, hunts 2-3 times a week and we all really don't understand. He is scheduled to see a neurologist next week.
Just wanted to know if anyone else has encountered this and what to expect. Really appreciate any thoughts.

I really really suggest to search after International Life Care Hungary on google. They have a method which can regress up to 90% of the atherosclerosis in the first year following the treatment. With proper lifestyle, the atherosclerosis can be healed 100%.

It has saved my life too.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, when both carotid arteries are blocked, compensatory flow from the vertebral arteries maintains the blood flow to the brain. As long as the other arteries continue to flow normally, there may not be any further neurological problems. Other issues that affect life expectancy include a patient’s overall cardiac condition and this must also be monitored carefully and appropriate actions taken whenever necessary. So, if he develops any symptoms, he will need to consult his   doctors at the earliest. Regards.
