18 months post op tummy tuck

I had an extended tummy tuck 18 months ago.  Can the muscle have been pulled too tight??  I have several problems with 'wayward' internal sutures coming up to the incision and getting infected which required going back to the operating room. I currently have abdominal pain (feels very tight) most of the time and worse after I eat.  I've gained about 30lbs unfortunately due to being unemployed (now back at work!).  Had ultrasound done which was normal, except for a polyp on my gallbladder.

Thank you.

The spitting of sutures following any surgery is the result of an inflammatory reaction to these foreign bodies which can come to the surface of the skin.  It has nothing to do with the degree of tension placed on the muscle fascia to tighten the abdominal wall.  The pain you are experiencing may be due to increased intra-abdominal volume as a result of your weight gain pressing on the rigid and tightened fascia.
