Breast Augmentation concerns...

How often do people reject implants?  What are the stats and what are the stats on capsular contraction?  What about the stats of risks of surgical anesthesia being used in a professional board certified location?  I am having my surgery in 9 days and am getting pretty excited, yet very nervous also.  Thank you for your prompt response.

So-called "rejection" is really manifested by capsule contracture (which can also be caused by a post-op bleed or infection).  The rate of capsule contracture can run as low as less than 5%, but can vary from surgeon to surgeon.  The true cause of this complication is not fully understood.  

Risks of anesthesia are extremely low.  In over 30 years of practice, performing surgery in a hospital associated outpatient surgery center with the best equipment, excellent board certified anesthesiologists, and multiple operating rooms (with lots of personnel about), I have never experienced a death or significant anesthesia complication.
