Breast Lift-Fibroadenoma

Hello
December 2006, I head a biopsy done and the result came that I have an fibroadenoma.  I am thinking about doing a breast lift. I did not remove the Fibroadenoma  because I was told that i did not head to remove it. Is it ok for a brest lift to be done?  Can one request a fibroadenoma to be remove durning a breast lift procedure.
Thank you.

A breast lift (or mastopexy) involves removal of redundant skin of the beast to tighten, reshape, and lift it.  The procedure generally does not necessarily involve much surgery on the breast tissue itself.  An excision of the fibroadenoma can be performed at the same time as a lift.  The excised tissue should be sent for pathologic examination.
