Breast Reduction Pain Problems

I had breast reduction done 7 weeks ago and I still have open holes under one breast and the other one is swollen and bulging out on the side.  I am still in extreme pain. I cannot touch my breasts without pain, even clothes or my bra rubbing them is painful.
Why is this happening and when will it subside?  My doctor says that these problems are extremely rare and he doesn't know what to tell me.

Assuming there is no active infection occurring at this time, persistent severe pain at this stage is very rare.  Some patients are more sensitive to surgery than others and the hope is that your discomfort will resolve with additional time.  Without a direct examination it would be impossible to determine if there is some other underlying reason for your continued discomfort or to recommend a specific treatment action.
