Cosmetic surgery after open heart procedures

Hello,
My 5 year old daughter had an open heart procedure performed last week.

I want to know what cosmetic technique can be used to hide the scares

Shall we go with plastic surgery or laser operations, or ...?

And what would be the right time frame for that?

Any consideration for scar revision should be decided based on the ultimate mature appearance of the scar.  Full scar maturation will take at least one year from now.  At that time, if the scar is unacceptable, then a consultation with a plastic surgeon would be appropriate.  The exact procedure selected will depend on the condition of the scar at that time.  For now, the best treatment would probably be silicone gel sheeting applied directly over the scar.  This product can be ordered over the internet.
