Dark Under Eye Circles

I am of Indian decent and I have very dark under eye circles.  Is there anything at all that can be done for this either surgical or non-surgical?

Dark circles, eye bags and wrinkles are most commonly caused by lack of sleep, but in addition, ageing (aging), heredity, fatigue, allergies (like eczema and asthma), sun exposure and stress can darken the pigment around the eyes as well. Many studies have shown that smoking or drinking too much alcohol, coffee, soda and other highly-caffeinated beverages will only worsen dark circles.

Eye creams are the most popular cosmetic used to reduce dark circles. They provide moisturize and nutrients to the delicate skin around eyes. Because this skin is so thin it absorbs eye creams rapidly, stimulating blood circulation underneath the skin's surface. I have been using a product called Eyevive since my dermatologist recommended it to me. The product is amazingly effective. I cannot believe the dramatic results and my friends swear I had "work" done.

In addition there are some other ways to protect and maintain the skin surrounding your eyes, such as getting proper rest and using a sunscreen with a high SPF.
