FTSG

FTSG

Hello,
I posted a while back about an oral FTSG (inside cheek) that was
performed and constricted so tightly that my mouth barely opened.
I was told to wait, that it should relax with time, and it will open a
few more mm, but that's all.

It's been about four months since surgery and I was wondering if
in this amount of time, that the graft has reached its full amount
of relaxation, or if more time is needed?  At what point in time, do
grafts no longer relax?
Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for the question.  It may take a little longer and the graft may still relax to allow your mouth to open wider.  This could take 6 months or longer.  However, you should see your plastic surgeon for a full evaluation.
