Facial Surgery Because Of An Assault

Facial Surgery Because Of An Assault

Back in February I was assaulted. My jaw was completely broken in the center and fractured on the left hinge. My nose was shattered along with my sinus cavity on the left side of my face. I was rushed in for emergency surgery and had 3 metal plates and 13 screws placed in to hold my jaw together. I had to relearn how to move the muscles in the lower part of my face especially my mouth. I also had to relearn how to say certain things. It has been six months and I still haven't been able to have the surgeries that are needed on my nose and my sinuses. My nose is disfigured and I'm missing some of my cheek. It's extremely upsetting to me to not only look like this but also not to have any way of doing anything about it. Crimes Victims already denied my case. I don't have insurance and I'm not able to get Medicad. I haven't been able to get any form of help. I don't have the funds to pay for any of my surgeries and I'm not eligible for any kind of help. I feel trapped with no way out. Every person I have tried to talk to says that my best solution is to find a doctor who will do probono work. Please if you can help me in any way I would greatly appreciate it. I just want to look myself again and be the person I was.

Most university teaching hospitals with plastic surgery training programs will provide discounted services.  I suggest you contact such a center near where you live.

i am really sorry to hear  that because of some nasties  who unfortunately still exist in this world you have to suffer.
my advise is go to news paper and publish your case. also ask for donation. you deserve to have your face back. dont let the criminal get away.
