Fillers

Hello,

I am thinking of using Radiesse to help with a scar on my cheek and was wondering if it is safe? You can't get any autoimmunine or cancer from it, can you? Also, I assume the use of needles when using the filler is closely monitored? I've heard that if you don't use all the filler, some can be saved in the needle for a touch up - is this safe? Thanks for any help.

Radiesse is the mineral element of bone (hydroxyapatite) and because it is a natural substance, it does not produce an immune reaction and is safe.  The material could potentially be store in the syringe that holds it, the risk being secondary contamination and potential infection.
