Fluid retention after lower body lift

Fluid retention after lower body lift

I had a lower body lift on june 11, 2007. I am having problems with fluid retention in the area below my bellybutton. My surgeon has put me on fluid pills twice and it still won't go away. He has tried to drain the fluid without success. I'm miserable and wonder what else could be done to remove the fluid?

At nearly seven weeks post surgery, fluid in the lower abdominal area that cannot be aspirated, is probably just edema or swelling of the tissues.  IF you are not wearing a compression garment, this might be helpful.  The fluid will resolve with time.  I have no easy answer to resolve it more quickly.
