Have Implants and Fibroadenoma

Hi,
I have been told by my doctor that I have Fibroadenoma in each breast. I have had my implants for several years. Is this going to impact my implants when they biopsy them? Having silicone implants for several years now, will this increase the chance of these lumps turning to cancer?

thank you

It has been well documented that implants do not stimulate cancer formation (nor do they prevent it).  If the fibroadenomas need surgical removal,  then this can be done without injuring the implants.  Should this be necessary, your surgeon should be aware of the presence of implants and their location above or below the pectoralis muscle.
