Hematoma Hard?

Another quick question.  I dont mean to doubt my Dr., but with the risk of infection with C Sections I am looking for other opinions until I get to the Hematologist next week.  Because my incision is not open with any type of discharge this is why my OB is "certain" it is a Hematoma and not an infection.  However, is it common for a Hematoma to be very hard to touch to the skin?  The area my OB says is a Hematoma is as hard as a rock, bumpy to touch, and tight feeling.

Hematomas, as discussed, are blood clots that organize into scar tissue.  Theu can be hard when touched.
