How long does the double eye-lid surgery last?

How long does the double eye-lid surgery last?

My father wants to take me when I am 16 to have cosmetic surgery on my eyes so I can have the double eye-lid look. I have a couple a of questions~ 1/ How long does it usually last? 2/ Does it swell up or anything like that?  3/(childish but..) Does it hurt?(i'm serious)  4/ How much does it usually cost?(I'm insurance and health-care-less, but even so I don't think that covers cosmetic surgery. Also my eyes are rather small. My left eye is bigger than my right, by the way.)   5/Do they use anything to numb the pain?  6/ What do they use to do it?  I know it sounds immature, but really, do they like tell me to like "ok girly, close your eyes, let's discuss payment after" and then they use a knife or whatever and make a line and glue it together or something? Sorry about all the questions, but I'm rather anxious.

First, I would question if the surgery is appropriate and necessary at your age.  An examination by a board certified plastic surgeon would determine if this is the case.  Second, assuming that surgery is appropriate (I highly doubt this), then that surgeon would go into details about the nature of the procedure, the type of anesthesia, and the costs involved.  Only after this thorough dicussion and with both your consent and the consent of your parents, would surgery be scheduled.  If the procedure is deemed cosmetic (for appearance only), then fees would be disclosed and would be required prior to the surgery.  No legitimate surgeon would proceed with any surgery without full disclosure. consent and payment.

Thank you so much. It seems I'll have to wait longer. Most likely, my family would get any surgeon to do it, as long as it's cheap and works. I'm not too concerned with what they do first, I just don't want to feel it if it hurts, but that depends if I have to pay for it, because my parents would most likely tell me to suck it up so if there is payment required. My mother was considering asking my grandma's younger brother, whom was the one who took out my grandma's appendix when he was still working as a surgeon in somewhere in Asia and she got a discount, possibly he'd do it for me. There's also some of these places down by where my grandmother lives that she knows that can do it privately, but I doubt they are "legitimate" surgeons...nevertheless if it's cheap, causes little pain, and doesn't have any side effects like in 10 years my eyes will become all swollen and saggy and I'll get cancer or anything like that then I think I'll do it, maybe when I'm 18, then. But again, thanks a lot.
