LARGE PORT-WINE STAIN ON LEG

LARGE PORT-WINE STAIN ON LEG

Hello,
i have a very large port wine stain on my left leg. It extends from my toes to my buttock I have had a number of ultrasounds on the affected limb to acertain if there are any large vascular malformations. All have been ok. There is some slight hypertrophy of the tissues in the left leg (bone, muscle, fat) but I do not have SWS.
I have tried various lazers over the past 15 years without any success (photoderm, med-light, early 90's YAG). It has been completely refractory to laser treatment so far. I have had successful sclerotherapy for breakthru spider vessels.
Are there any other options for me? I am so sick of this thing. Is surgical removal even an option?????
I can provide photos of the lesion if required.

Since you have unsuccessfully undergone laser therapy to the hemangioma, it seems your only other option would be excision and adjacent skin expansion with skin grafting.  This is a major undertaking with donor site scars and scarring and potential irregular skin in the grafted areas.  Your plastic surgeon can advise you about the likelihood for improvement and the risks associated with this procedure.
