Minimally Invasive Brachioplasty

Dear Doctor, I am a 53 year old female with enough upper arm sag to feel extremely self-conscious when it is showing.  It is adversely affecting my relationship and I feel very limited as to what apparel I can wear with confidence.
It is not a result of extreme weight loss, just genetics I guess.
I asked one surgeon about a solution and he said the scarring from traditional brachioplasty would be too much and it would not be worth it.  He did not mention any other procedure.  I have very white skin whose scars usually heal very well, does that matter?
Also, I have heard about a new procedure that minimizes the scar in the armpit.  In your opinion is this new procedure a good option?  How can I find a surgeon in my area who does this new procedure?
Thank you, it is difficult to get good information on this operation.

If you tend to form minimal scars, then the linear incision along the inside of the length of your arm would likely heal very well and pose little cosmetic problem.  The problem with the scar placed just within the axilla (armpit area) is that the result may be very limited.  I have perform the full brachioplasty on a large number of people willing to accept the scar for the dramatically improved contour with very few regretting the resulting scar.
