Otoplasty - stitch problem

Otoplasty - stitch problem

About 10 years ago I had a otoplasty procedure performed (correction of the ears). Within one year of the surgery I had to have some stitches removed that were protruding. Recently another stitch is sticking through the skin. Although it doesn't bother me cosmetically I'm concerned as to whether this could get infected or any other complication. Thank you for your time.

If there is a protruding suture, it should be removed for fear of an infection associated with an exposed foreign body.
