Oversized breasts with asymmetry

Oversized breasts with asymmetry

I have always had very large breasts, and the right breast has always been bigger than the left.  Over the last few years, I have lost a considerable amount of weight, but this time my breast size did not seem to decrease.  I was measured for bra's and had to get a 36 DDD because the right breast was that large.  Back in July, I started taking birth control as a means of trying to regulate my heavy and painful periods.  I am taking the generic Yaz (Gianvi).  My right breast has actually gotten larger and now my 36 DDD Bras are too tight.  My breast is so heavy and uncomfortable that it is causing pain in my neck and shoulders.  Actually, I have gone to the chiropractor on and off for neck and back problems for most of my life.

I am finally so sick of this that I am ready to pay whatever I need to in order to get surgury to reduce my breast size.  However, I do have insurance and I would think this might be covered because it is definitely not cosmetic.

I am tired of my shirts not fitting right, and being in pain all the time because I am carrying so much weight on top.  Just to give you an idea...I am a size 8 on the bottom and a 14 on top.  This is not normal.  Also, I am 46 years old and pre-menopausal.  Can someone please point me in the right direction?  Thanks.

This is a relatively common problem which can be corrected with breast reduction.  The reduction can achieve both symmetry and size.  Check with a local pl\astic surgeon who can help with confirming insurance coverage for this procedure.
