Post-Op Concern

I am a 43 year old male who recently had a ventral phalloplasty ( on 8/8/2011) to correct a problem I was having with my scrotum riding too high on the shaft of my penis after a recent circumcision.  I had some excess skin that needed to be removed ( turkey neck appearance ). Upon removing the bandages when it was time, I noticed that where the surgeon had sutured me towards the base of my penis seemed pretty tight.  So now my penis has a funny shape - smaller at the base than at the distal end.  Looks deformed now.  When I get an erection there is a much tighter band of skin towards the base of my shaft giving it sort of an hour glass shape.  It actually hurts when I begin to get an erection now.  Do you think the tight band of skin will eventually relax?? If not, what can I do to stretch the skin back out so that it is a normal shape and appearance again? And how do I stretch it back out so blood flow is at normal capacity again?

These problems are handled by urologists or plastic surgeons who specialize in urologic issues.  Since your surgery is less than one month old and full healing often takes three or four months for full maturation, it seem too early to assess the results of your procedure.  You clearly need to address these questions to your surgeon.
