Red, hard area of one breast 5 wks post reduction

HI,

I had a reduction, 1.5lbs from each breast approximately 5 weeks ago. The incision is finally healing, although living in S Florida it took longer than normal I think due to perspiration. But my right breast, underneath is very red, somewhat hard and feels slightly warm to the touch. It is clearly more swollen than the left, but I have sensation in nipple and it is not leaking fluid. Is it has not gotten any worse, and it not bothersome, but it is worrying me as it is not going away. Thanks.

Your surgeon should be able to determine if this condition represents an area of fat necrosis or some other issue that will resolve with time.
