Rhinoplasty: Right Cheek Bone growth

Rhinoplasty: Right Cheek Bone growth

Approximately  one year ago I had a reconstructive surgery on my nose.
When I was 8 years old I was hit by a car and badly damage.  This damage included my nose being broken.
Because of my broken nose, breathing was difficult as well as a problem with a runny nose.

Since the operation I now have a divut (gap) on the right side of my nose bridge as well as a large area of
cartlidge or bone growth (which appears to get bigger) on the right side of the my nose, to the cheek ....

Is this what is supposed to happen.... will it stop growing the bone growth, and will the divet or hole fill up?

Your assistance is appreciated.

Your initial injured nose was a complicated situation as was as the corrective operation performed a year ago. At one year, I would not expect much more change.  A full evaluation of your situation would require operative reports and a direct examination.  Your original surgeon is in the best position to assess your results and advise you about any further steps.

I saw my the surgeon this week.  He had asked me to put on weight so that he could take some 'fat' from my waist or behind.  That fat was to be used to fill in the divut in my nose.
I had gained weight so that he could carry out that procedure.
He informed me that the divut or hole would eventually fill in if I let the body do it work.  He said that the bone on the right side was broken in order to reshape the nose.  That break he said, builds up another layer so that the bone may heal.  Then that extra layer will eventually go away.
I had a friend with me who listened.  Both she and I sense that that is not the case.
