Scar tissue in cheek area

Scar tissue in cheek area

I had some Radiesse injectable filler injected on my right cheekbone to hide a small scar i had about four years ago.
The Radiesse caused a lump to appear and seemed quite apparant which made me self concious. I wanted to make the lump dissapear so i approached my GP who forwarded me onto an NHS surgeon. The surgeon excised the initial scar ( 2 cm in length and about 3 mm in width running vertically on my cheekbone skin, shown in the 1st pic). He then had a small gap where he had access to the lump to scrape it away. Once he scraped away the lump he pulled the skin slightly towards and stitched it up to form a new less noticeable scar (the new scar look like a line on my right cheekbone as shown in the right lateral picture), i feel a slight pulling sensation on the new scar from time to time. The lump caused by the radiesse was directly over my cheekbone surrounded and entwined with the surrounding tissue, it seems as if the radiesse formed its own collagen which caused the lump.

As the surgeon scraped away the lump he also scraped away the surrounding tissue around the cheekbone. I can feel that top part of my cheekbone doesnt have that curve and definition because tissue surrounding the cheekbone which runs up to the crow's feet area has been removed. Now the right cheekbone feels flat as i can't feel some of the tissue which gives the cheekbone its plumpness and curve.

I was wondering is there a procedure that can immitate tissue to build up the curve and definition of the cheekbone as the cheekbones don't look symmetrical and the right cheekbone looks slightly flat.

Also the surgery made my cheek (the fatty part below the cheekbone) look puffed out it feels as though theres swelling inside the cheek but its been over a year since i had the surgery to remove the lump so it could be scar tissue. If it is scar tissue or edema then is there any procedure that can reduce the scar tissue and make the cheek look flat.

Thankyou

Radiesse is the mineral component of bone (hydroxyapaptite) It generally last about nine months.  If you have flatness of your right cheek as a result of excision of the injectable, then treatment might include fat injections to provide a more natural filler for that side.  Steroid injections will reduce scar tissue, but may result in fat necrosis and further flatness of that cheek.  Consult with a local plastic surgeon about your options.
