after plastic surgery

I see there is a simular question already in the forum.  My question has to do with the after effects I've had with a lower face lift.  It seems that off to the each side of my mouth I have a bulge.  They are different from each other.  On the left side it's like the skin didn't lay down on the underneath muscle and it pretrudes, I can grab it. (?)  On the right side there is a spot the side of a golf ball with something under it.  Like gooush. My Doctor thinks it's scar tissue.  It is lumpy and makes my skin wavey.  I don't know if you've ever seen any thing like this, I'm sure you've seen plenty.  Is there any thing you've seen to help this problem?  Also a previous Doctor in April 08 injected the area below these area's with Juvederm and Restlyne.  The skin whelped up immediately in April 08 and stayed that way.  Those products are not suppose to last more than a year and it's been a year and half and the whelps are still there.  I don't suppose there is any of the fillers left, I do suppose there is scar tissue that's formed around these whelp and looks like they are there to stay.  Is there any thing to help my problems?  I'm about to give up on life.  I've lost all hope, so if you can give me some I'd appreciate it.  I wish all I had to worry about was getting older looking.  I had the best Doctors that was recommended.  Please, Help with my questions.  Sincerely, danish

Bulging at the sides of the mouth can be a result of a number of causes. In all fairness, they can only be evaluated and treated after a direct examination and review of your pre-op photos.  You also did not mention how long after the surgery it has been.  Sometimes a pre-existing problem has not been addressed or eliminated at the time of the original surgery.  Sometimes it is a result of a bleed or small hematoma.  The reaction to fillers and subsequent scarring is also an issue.  I cannot give you a specific recommendation based on lack of information, but advise you work with your physician in resolving your problems.

I'm very sorry to hear about your complications. I had a Dr inject Radiesse into tear troughs that he had created when he built up my cheek bones and it whelped my face up badly. He basically gave me under eye bags and nasal labial folds where previously none had existed.he made me look 10 years older and I didn't even want anything there and told not to put anything inside my eye area! I still have a lump under my left eye but he keeps working away w different lasers to help it along. My lower face lift caused a years worth of problems from a bulging bullfrog throat from a bad tissue reaction to the sutures followed by necrotized fat lumps and a partial necrotized lymph node lump that had to be cut out, I had to have 3 surgeries over a one period.and I now have marionette lines and jowls where my outside neck bands protrude when I smile or talk now! He has been giving me IPL laser and Pixel laser treatments as well as both red and blue light therapy for inflammation and injecting a very diluted kenelog solution into the scar tissue as this helps it break up and get thinner and softer. He is next probably going to try some Accent treatment on the jawline to help tighten it and rid the jowls that I never had prior to the "lift". I suffered every rare complication in the book from lip paralysis (it came back) to a bad seroma. Which I think in turn caused the jowling look.  Its a nightmare but keep working with your PS. There are things you can do to help yourself heal better too massage, micro dermabrasion. Its definately a team effort and thankfully my Dr has continued to work w me to make it right. I know I will need revision but at this point I would go to someone w more experience even though my Dr was qualified I don't think he had the experience.
