atrophy in my daughters leg

My 10 month old has atrohphy on leg from a steroid shot  4 months ago. My Dr said fat injections may be the answer in 6-7 years if it does not go away. Any experience with something like this, or any advice???

Some physicians believe that fat atrophy from steroid injections result from precipitation of steroids into the soft tissues.  They recommend saline injections into the area of fat atrophy to dissolve the steroids.  Although a benign form of treatment, I have tried this in a few cases with negligible results.  I have had success with fat injections, but have never performed this on a child (I doubt that many plastic surgeons have).  I would consult with a local plastic surgeon.
