breast implants linked to m.s.?

breast implants linked to m.s.?

I had implants put in a bout 6 yrs. ago, and after the birth of my last child 19 months ago some very bad problems have been occuring. My symptoms include, hand pain and numbness, upper and lower back pain, cognitive troubles with memory, bouts of dbl vision and because of all this depresssion. I was referred to an internal doc. after a positive ana. My doctor ran an allotment of tests including two mri's, 2 emg's and a ton of blood work. The only thing found was a slightly herneated disk in my neck. So now i have been referred to pain mgnt. without any ansewers for my problems except taking meds. My doctor origionally presummed m.s., but the mri's were negative. After some independent research i have found a lot of women who have had silicone implants are going through the same problems, some are diagnoised with fibromialgia (fibromyalgia), other's with m.s. and a lot like me left undiagnoised. I just want some advise on removal, cost of removal and what type of removals can be done. These symptoms some have linked to silicone toxcicity. I just want my life back, pain free and not having to take an assortment of prescription drugs.  thank you, sara s.

Silicone implants were permitted to be used by the FDA for most women after a long hiatus (approximately 14 years) when there was no scientific evidence that they were the source of the kind of problems you are experiencing.  Explantation of your implants would typically be a simple matter that any local plastic surgeon could accomplish.  The cost of this procedure would be determine by the individual surgeon you consult within your local area.  I am sure you will find someone to accommodate you.
