brow lift details

Dear doctor,
how are you?

I have been reading up on brow lifts and was wondering if this is what they entail,

Skin cut, (and completely pulled off in the case of coronal, and endo), underlying forehead tissues separated, removed/altered maybe, and than pull everything up and anchor...during healing process separated tissues realign and hold together through scar tissue?

If I missed anything, or if something about the summary is wrong, please let me know.

And what is separated from what exactly?

Thank you very much for considering my questions,

enjoy the rest of your week,

Papillon :)

There are a number of techniques used from brow lifting and the method chosen for each individual will depend on the need of the patient and the ability and experience of the surgeon.  They can involve limited incisions with some form of anchoring of the scalp tissue (sutures, absorbable or temporary screws, absorbable 'carpet tacks').  Or the procedure can involve a larger incisions across the top of the scalp with resection of skin to allow upward pull.  In addition, procedures can also be performed with incisions across the forehead (in men) or just above each brow.   It would be impossible in this forum to detail the anatomy, multiple techniques, and finesse in decision making for this complex subject.

Hi Dr. Rosenberg,

thank you very much for your help.

I guess, I was talking about endo and coronal more so.

Just a summary, so I can get a good grasp of what it basically is like.

So is it (endo and coronal) basically just cutting skin lifting skin off forehead, underlying forehead tissues separated, removed/altered maybe, and than pull everything up and anchor...during healing process separated tissues realign and hold together through scar tissue?

Thank you again
take care,
Papillon8 :)
