Chemical peel involves the topical application of peeling agent (most commonly Trichloracitic acid (TCA)).  The initial application burns and requies a fan and pain medication.  The skin then dries and peels like a bad sunburn over a period of a week to ten days.  The ultimate result creates fresh looking skin with wrinkle reduction.

I have had a chemical peel, I only had one because the full course was pretty expensive but after just that one my skin felt very fresh. The chemical is wiped on the face & left for a few seconds, it doesnt hurt one bit but it is very itchy, i was so tempted to scatch but it is such a short time that its left on that it can be tollerated. Each time you have a peel they leave it on a little longer. I bought my own peel kit & carried on with it myself. They are not as strong but do keep skin fresh looking. I dont think it does much for wrinkles, just gives a fresh look. I have had botox, it is almost painless, iv had it many times & it is definately worth it.
