chicken pox scars

Continuing from my previous question:  I was told laser and dermabrasion would not work for my scars because of the depth and rather large size scars I have.  Other than stitching or surgically excersion of the scars is there any other way to move the scars?  Exactly what would be involved in surgically excersion of the scars?

Some depressed scars can be treated with injectable fillers to reduce their depth and visibility.  If a surgical excision is undertaken, the entire crater would typically be excised using an elliptical incision in the direction of the natural resting skin tension lines.  The entire crater would be excised down to the depth of the crater into the subcutaneous tissues.  The resulting wound would be closed with sutures.  If superficial, just skin sutures would be used.  If relatively deep, subcutaneous or subcuticular dissolvable sutures could also be used.
