cosmetic eye care

I have been using 30% glycolic acid peels every two weeks and retin-a  weekly under my eyes to try to get a firmer look and reduce the wrinkles.  Am I doing more harm than good by thinning my skin? I am 53 and it seems like my under eye area is looking more gaunt with age- not a good look!
What is a good regime which will also help to combat aging skin without being too aggressive?
Also, what is your opinion on the use of Botox to combat wrinkles around the eyes? Thanks so much!

The use of retin A has been shown to definitively reduce fine wrinkling and stimulate collagen formation when used consistently over a long period of time (at least nine months or more).  Glycolic acid as a cream seems to enhance the use of retin A.  Occasional glycolic acid peels are useful, but I do not know if the frequency you are doing the peels will further enhance your treatment is useful.
