ear problem

my son had nose surgery 2009 for a slight deviated setum cause his nose was a little blocked along with his ear doctor said surgery i believed him but after  surgery i read that everyone has a slight deviated setum 7 months later his setum collasped and was noticeable on the outside of his nose had surgery again 2010 a different ent well since then he saw another ent cause now his ears are bothering him that ent said he had pablios eustation tube dyfuntion (not sure i spelled that right) which now his voice is amplied in his ears that ent said his eardrum hole something like that stays open all the time while a normal one closes? he also siad which is bothering me to is that  from the nose surgery that opened his breathing that it maybe why his ear is now like that ? he just did a tympemmy test(not sure that is how you spell it ) and just looked in his ear i was wondering if a cat scan of his ears would show what is going on no help from the ent  said nothing culd help need advice and help his ears are driving him crazy and i blame myself for the nose surgery help thank you
