encapsulation

encapsulation

I have had 3 augmentations since having my first enlargement as scar tissue kept building up around the implant. On the third augmentation my surgeon suggested to use a silicone implant that resists scar tissue, which feels firmer to the usual silicone implants, but the tissue cannot build up around it. But they are beginning to feel hard again and have caused a rim, making them look un- natural. Is saline implants an option and can you still get encapulation with these implants.

Neither silicone gel or saline filled implants are immune from developing capsule contracture.  Clearing you are having some foreign body reaction to the implants.  It is not certain that additional procedures will solve this problem, although there are surgical techniques that might be considered, such as re-implantation in a so called neo-pocket.  This should be discussed with your surgeon.
