facial numbness

facial numbness

I had a face lift about 3 yrs ago & everything turned out ok, except I still have numbness around my right eye & a slightly drooping eyelid.  I assumed it was from the facelift, but a year later I was found to have a large unruptured brain aneurysm behind my right eye.  Fortunately, it was repaired before it could rupture, but I still have this numbness and some days are worse than others.  My eyelid droops more on some days than others. Now I don't know if this numbness is because of the facelift or the aneurysm.  The aneurysm has coils in it so it still protrudes from the artery.  What is your opinion?

If your original surgery was just a facelift and no surgery performed on your lids, then it would be unusual to have an affect on your eyelids.  This sounds more like a neurological problem and I suggest discussing it with your neurosurgeon or your neurologist.
