how to get rid of the black lips

Dear Doctor

I am a media personal in Sydney Australia...recently I noticed I have a thick black layer in my upper and bottom lips..this looks very distressing as I have to appear in TV off and on...I need to get rid off the black layer very soon as my career been effected by the appearence of my lips..

Please recomend a propper treatment..A cream or any suitable

I believe you are speaking of hyperpigmentation of the skin about your upper and lower lips.  If this is the case, then there are treatments that will help to some degree over time including bleaching creams and retinoids.  In addition, judicious  us of chemical peels can also be effective as can some dlaser treatments.  However, there are definite risks of actual depigmentation of the skin with any of these therapies.  Seek the care of an experienced physician who is well versed in all of these treatments and their complications.
