indentation on nose

indentation on nose

I have a irregular flat spot with an ice pick scar on the tip of my nose. It resulted as a removal from actinic keratosis from a Derm.  I had a scab for about 3 wks that dislodged while taking a shower and made it bleed. I pushed the scab back into place and the healing was irregular. I went back to the Derm  after 8 wks and showed him my skin had healed lumpy with an indentation. He repeated the procedure and now it's been another 8 wks but my skin isn't back to normal. There is a  irregular indentation with a small hole in the middle, my skin is still a little red but mainly back to normal. This wouldn't bother me if it wasn't on my nose but I can't hide it with make up and don't want to. What can I do to get my skin to look smooth again? Thanks

I would advise a consultation with a plastic surgeon about the possibility of scar revision of the area.  Although it is far too early to consider any treatment, at least you would be followed for determining both the timing and technique for such a procedure.  It may even be possible for the area to ultimately heal without the need for a revision.

The hole on the tip of my nose looks like an extremely large pore. If I use make up it settles in to it and makes it noticeable. It's been 3 mo's and I'm pretty sure the isn't going to fill in with my own skin cells. Could a Dr. use surgical glue and push it together so I wouldn't have to have a procedure to get rid of it?
