inverted nipples after breast reduction

inverted nipples after breast reduction

I had breast reduction 13 months ago.  I used to have large nipples; they were relocated during surgery.  Now my nipples are inverted or flat; sometimes the right one pops out a little but doesn't stay out.  My surgeon is unresponsive to my questions about this.  Will my nipples remain inverted and why? Thanks.

At 13 months post-op, I would not expect any further changes.  Nipple inversion is a relatively common problem (not necessarily associated with reduction surgery) that can be corrected surgically.  In some cases, a suction apparatus can also be used.  If your surgeon is not responsive, a second opinion is warranted.
