is drooping of the mouth normal after face lift/neck lift?

I had a neck lift and lower face lift 3 days ago. I am just noticing that the right side of my mouth is drooping when I smile and when I talk.  I do not notice more numbness on that side of my face.  I am wondering if this is a normal symptom for post op face lift.

This is a result of trauma to the marginal mandibular branch of the facial nerve.  If the nerve has been contused, the muscle function will return fairly quickly.  If the nerve has been more significantly damaged, then it can take up to three to four months before more complete resolution.
