lip scar

A couple of months ago my 3 year-old daughter split her top lip open a little on a door. It didn't seem too deep and healed quickly, so we didn't see a dr about it. However, she now has a scar. It's a thin white line that's not too visible, but when she smiles you can really see it. We're wondering if it's too late to do anything about it or if there's still a chance the scar is not permanent?

Thanks!

At only three years, your daughter would not cooperate with any scar revision under local anesthesia.  My best advise is to wait until she is much older and specifically requests a concern about the scar.  There is no harm in waiting.
