nose assymetry after rhinoplasty

nose assymetry after rhinoplasty

Hello,
i had a 'touch up' closed rhinoplasty 3 weeks ago. all the inscisions were done on the inside of the right nostril. My nose looks very asymetrical, the rightside is really swollen and the nostril is significantly higher than the left. if you draw a line down the middle each side looks like a different nose,  is it normal for the nostril to be alot higher than the other, is this because the swelling on the top of the nose is pulling the nostril upward or is it something i'm going to have to live with the rest of my life, i've read that major swelling subsides at 2 weeks and mine still looks very swollen...please help, i've been so worried and self consious about this that i cant even sleep at night!!

The nasal tip and nostril size would not be expected to achieve symmetry at only three weeks post surgery.  Swelling may not resolve for at least three to four months.  This is particularly true if the procedure involved an approach from only one side of you nose. If the problem persists after that time, then it is more problematic.
