options to fix childhood scar on nostril

As a child, I fell and slit my nose open in the upper part of my nostril near the septum.  Instead of the nostril being flush all the way around, there is a type of knotch in the section that was slit, more than 30 years ago.  Is there a simple procedure to fix this?

A scar revision can align the nostril rim to eliminate the notch.  A local plastic surgeon can readily perform this procedure, usually done under local anesthesia.
