pain on one leg

pain on one leg

I had a tummy tuck 2 weeks agoand was feelingnfine, no nausea, could walk to and from the bathroom, could take a shower by myself from day one.  On my second visit to the doctor, he told me no restrictions but not to excercise yet.
That day I got home, read on the couch for awhile and worked on the computer.  My husband and I decided to go to dinner. The pain started immediately whenI got up. I couldn't walk! my left side by the groin area was unbearably painful. I made to the car, and when I got home (five min later) I could not stand. I made it to the living room and passed out. My husband managed to get me to the couch to lay down. That was fine, no problem but The minute I tried to stand up, I couldn't. Within minutes I was drenched with sweatand I could feelthat I was going to pass out again.  I cannot even stand up to go to the bathroom.  Is this NORMAL.  I was told that I needed iron and to drink more liquids. Please advise.

No!  This is absolutely not normal.  One of the complications of a tummy tuck is venous thrombophlebitis.  You need to contact your surgeon and have this problem evaluated.

Thank you for your answer. I must say that Yes, I did call the doctor and a nurse told me that since I can move my leg in a cicle while I'm lying down that I just need more liquids and iron supplements. I can get up now but it's still a severe pain. I was able to take a shower this morning but the pain is still there just not to the point of me fainting.
