painful small lump after breast reduction

hi, i had breast reduction surgery 6 weeks ago with a few complications including excessive bleeding that required me to have an emergency 2nd surgery on the right breast later the same day. i was hospitalized for 4 days and had a hematoma on the breast. i notice that the right breast is smaller and has taken longer to heal. i also developed 3 sites of surface infection that i still put topical antibiotic on (one on left breast, two on right breast). last night i started feeling pain in the right breast and today i found a small subcutaneous nodule about one inch left from the vertical incision under my nipple. the nodule skin looks darker, and i think it may lie in or near a vein. it hurts a lot now and i am very upset. i will see my PS about it, but can you tell me if all this sounds normal and what you think it is?

A hematoma and subsequent infection are not normal, but occasionally occur with this procedure.  Since I cannot examine you and you are currently under treatment by your surgeon, I suggest you have him/her evaluate and discuss you current situation with you.
