peels

hi sir!!!
I have acne on my face and few scars(pits).
does chemical peel help in healing those pits??? and to what extent.
Or laser treatment is the only solution .
If i go for chemical peel ,, which peel would you suggest and how many of them(sittings).
Are these peels really helpful in getting a clearer and smooth skin.

Acne pitting can be very difficult or impossible to completely clear.  Depending on the depth and appearance of your scars, either dermabrasion or some form of laser resurfacing may be helpful.  A trial of therapy over a limited areas would be a first step.  Consult with a local plastic surgeon or dermatologist.  A peel may not be your best choice.
