post facelift problems

What is your opinion of my electric/stab sensations in the temple and lower cheek area?  Is this part of the healing/nerve regeneration process?  It's very painful.  Have you any comment of the tinnitus in my one ear or have your post facelift patients experienced this?  Thanks again for any input.

Electric/stab sensations in the temple and lower cheek area are undoubtedly a result of nerve regeneration as part of the healing process.  While not a common complaint post facelift, I do hear about this sensation lasting months after surgery, particularly with  breast surgery.  I have never heard of or encountered tinnitus after a facelift.  Since the facelift procedure is a relative superficial operation, and tinnitus is an inner ear issue, this symptom must be unrelated and incidental to the surgery, or related somehow to post-op swelling.
