scar revision for tummy tuck scar

Hi i have been back to see my surgeon about my tummy tuck scar as i had Keloid scarring, i have had a course of steroid injections and the scar has flattened considerably however it is still discoloured and i have been told that i need a scar revision, how ever i went for a second opinion and was told that not only do i need a scar revision but that i have no fatty tissue beneath the scar line this is about 1 inch deep and the two fat facias, one from above the scar line and one below, need to be joined as well as at present there is only skin covering the muscle and you can actually feel a knot from the suture that has tightened my abdominal wall. Can you tell me how this will be done as i am concerned that when joining the fatty tissue i will need my belly button re- doing as well and that the skin may now be too tight.
Thank you in advance for your time.

A scar revision can often incorporate repairing and approximation of adjacent underlying fat, if this is deemed necessary.  This is a relatively simple maneuver provided it does not create significant added tension across the suture line.  To much tension is a cause of poor scars.
