tram flap horror

tram flap horror

i had tram flap reconstruction surgery 3 years ago. my stomach has become a horror. my belly looks like a butt. it is indented in the middle rightbelow my navel then comes out and is very hard. sometimes it actually feels heavy to just walk. i can not afford to correct this and was just wondering if there is any surgeon in NYC that would be willing to help, or recomend someone that could. no matter what i do my belly does not go down and it seems that when i lose weight i look like a disfigured freak so i try to stay a little heavy to even it out.

Based on your description of your abdomen, the problem appears to be lack of abdominal wall support from harvesting of your rectus muscle as a carrier for the blood supply for the reconstruction flap.  If you have insurance, correction of this would usually be covered as part of the reconstructive surgery.  If you lack insurance, I suggest you consult with a local university teaching hospital for help, or wait until the ObamaCare program takes effect.
