Ever since i was three years old i've had this scar on the tip on my noseNose fracture from a surgery that took place and i have been trying to get rid of it or at least make it less noticable and cant seem to find any cent of direction to eliminate the horrible scar. I've been teased and looked at different because of this my whole life and is willing to try anything to remove it. What do you suggest?
you can ask about laser treatments to get rid of it....though I doubt it's really "bad". we tend to see things as HUGE when really they aren't so bad. I have a nine inch scar on my leg and had been made fun of a lot as a kid. but once I stopped caring, so did everyone else. :)
If you choose for facialFacial paralysis Facial tics Facial trauma scar revision, microsurgery perhaps could be an option.
Problem is that where there is a wound, there will be a scar. Sometimes microsurgery helps minimize this problem. There appears to be more research on scar revision surgery drugs that could improve the prospects of surgery.. In one article I read botoxBotox Botox cosmetic helps to diminish scar formation after revision, as it paralizes the muscles, making sure body motionMotion sickness Motion sickness less drowsy does not affect the healing process. Another drug, avotermin might be of use in the future.. (there are several links with info about this drug if you google it)
but it might take some time until this drugs are in the market, as they are just in a research phase.
Laser/dermabrasion could also work,
Because of the location of the scar, you need to look for an experienced surgeon to get the best results if you wish to revise your scar.

But I do agree with sweetpea in that we sometimes see scars larger than they really are.. but its also your comfort. I'd advise you go to an excellent plastic surgeon and dermatologist to see the options.
