I was wanting to know if you have to have any type of weight lose before you get the liposuction surgery

It is highly recommended that you lose all the "extra" weight before you do any form of cosmetic surgery. Extra weight causes health problems that can cause some serious problems during/after surgery...and liposuction is surgery! For liposuction however there is another factor, say you have the liposuction at your current weight and then you drop the "extra" weight, you run the risk of having "ripples" in the area that you had your prior liposuction. If you still wish to do the liposuction now, it is advised that you talk with a cosmetic surgeon about the possible side effects of doing so at your current weight and possible outcomes if you decide to lose that weight later on.
